First Game of the Season!
Really excited that tonight is the first official soccer game of the season! I am so proud of Victoria, who is starting tonight!! Whoo Hooo!!!! It's intimidating coming onto such an established team, with 4 girls already signed to play Division 1 soccer next year. Her coach told me last night that she was a great addition to the team! It's been a long 7 months since we moved, but I am so grateful that this one things seems to be going well. Let's hope this is just the start to a wonderful season!! Pictures to follow later......

Victoria's First Scrimmages of the Year
Today was Victoria's first 2 scrimmages of the season. The coach put her in center back to replace one of the Seniors who was out of town at a tournament. She played really well!! Even the other parents (who didn't know who I was) were commenting on how great she played :) She is known as Victoria, the girl who just moved from Ohio :) Here are a couple of the photos from today. Not the best as I was sitting up in the stands.

Findlay, OH & Asheville, NC
I created this layout to capture some of the things we love and miss about Findlay, OH and also some of the new and wonderful things that Asheville has so offer. It's hard leaving behind family & friends, but I guess we need to make new friends and try to enjoy the beautiful surrounding around us!
For this layout I wanted to try my hand to some more "string art". It's a little harder to do on a scrapbook page, but I still like the end results and it's a great way to use up all those brads I have in my stash! The journaling card pulls out from behind the Ohio map and captures my feelings at this time in the move :)
Have a wonderful day everyone!! TGIF!!!! Can't wait for my husband to get home tonight!

A Few of my Latest Projects :)
It's been awhile since my last post. I have been busy trying to get the new house painted/decorated. It takes so much time trying to find the right items!! Anyway, here are a few layouts that I recently completed. These were all from a kit I ordered from 3 Scrappy Boys. I love how the papers could be used for both summer & winter layouts!

First NFL Game
Today my post is featuring my son Alex's first NFL football game. He was lucky
enough to get to see his Dallas Cowboys beat the Carolina Panthers earlier this
year. It was an amazing day for both Alex and Mark. I found this sketch posted
on Pinterest and knew it would be perfect for this layout.
Here is the layout I came up with using the sketch.
The Cowboys paper was a custom paper from Scrappin' Sports & More that I had made a couple of years ago and was just waiting for the perfect layout to use it on.

Alex Football Picture
When I got Alex's 8th grade professional football picture, I couldn't believe
how old and muscular he looked! When did my little boy grow up into a young
man!! I layered lots of Scrappin' Sports & More papers & stickers to
create this bright fun layout. I love that the focus is still Alex and the
mountains in the background.

Manchester United Museum Tour = AWESOME
Besides seeing our family, which is always a wonderful thing, the best part of our trip to England was visiting Old Trafford. We became official fans so we could buy tickets to a game while we were there and decided to do the museum tour too. It was Awesome!! They take you into the locker rooms, through the player tunnel and you even get to sit where Sir Alex Ferguson sits. If you get the chance and are soccer fans, I would highly recommend the tour.
When I saw this sketch from Let's Scrap, I knew it would be perfect for doing a collage of photos from our tour. Here is the sketch from Let's Scrap for 10-31-12 :)
Here is my take on the sketch.

Kick - Madalyn Soccer Layout
I know I have said it before but I really love how easy it is to mix and match all of the Scrappin' Sports & More papers. On this layout I used 6 different papers and 1 set of cardstock stickers. I love the look of the chevron with the stars and the colors were perfectly matched to Madalyn's soccer colors.
I have done so many soccer layouts over the past 12 years and I love how Scrappin' Sports & More papers keeps them looking fresh and new!

Happy Halloween...a little early
Here is my latest post on the Scrappin' Sports & More blog.
We decided it would be fun to create
something with either a fall or Halloween theme. I found this cute little tray
at Michael's and decided it would make the perfect place for a mini-page
decoration. The inside of the tray is 12 by 4.5 making it the perfect size for
a mini-page. It was already decorated with the rhinestones, again making it
the perfect backdrop for my page. Here is what I came up with....
The side B patterns were perfect for creating this Halloween layout. I just love the black chevron pattern on the back of the Volleyball paper and the orange & black stripes of the Basketball papers. It just screams Halloween to me.
Hope you all have a wonderful day!

#1429 Sports & Activities - Volleyball (black chevron)

10 Years of Football
Happy Monday everyone!! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I am so
excited to share this post with you today. I had so much fun looking back at
the past 10 years and remembering all the fun I have had watching Alex play
football. It all started when he was 4 years old and got his first Dallas
Cowboys outfit. I just love that photo of him all geared up on Christmas.
This is the first 2 page spread I have done in awhile and I am really excited about it. I just love how all the Scrappin' Sports & More papers work together. I used two lines of the football papers and combined it with some of the side B papers from other lines to add some color. A few buttons, chipboard letters, stickers and twine and the layout came together better than I envisioned. I hope you like it!
Here is the two page spread.
Here are some close ups :)

Maddy Soccer
Just wanted to add some pictures of Maddy playing soccer last weekend. Today she actually got to play in the mid-field, not just defense, so I will have some new photos to add :)
